Displaying jpeg

Hi All,
I have been using amaya for about a year now.
It did not always display jpeg files, although they displayed in internet explorer and netscape. I blamed the old computer running Windows ME.
I have a new computer with Windows XP on it and it still does the same.
Any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this problem.
