ease of use for those unfamiliar with html

well right off the bat if you are creating a NEW file
you are presented with choices of strict, transitional,
basic  etc ...  this is ok for those tuned in to standards etc
but for the  newcomer  this is a far cry from other editors...

Perhaps a tutorial for beginners !!  

I don't disagree with the philosophy of Amaya's approach 
or with the menus/ dialogs themselves.  the GUI is gradually
being worked into more standard ways of organizing things.

However it isnt for the beginner... is there anyone out there 
teaching neophytes and having success with amaya... 
please let me know your approach ... thanks....  john
