name/id attributes for textarea element

Amaya GL 6.4 on Windows XP
When a textarea element already has a name attribute and I try to make 
the id the same thing, Amaya appends the number 1 to the end of the id. 
 This is the same element, so the IDREF should be the same if both 
attributes are set.
