I have had enough of complicated phone answering systems I can't use .

I made a petition - Make automated phone systems usable by everyone. It proposes that the "zero" digit be reserved for reaching a human operator on all phone systems.

Would like you to sign the petition? It is at http://www.petitiononline.com/123phone/

As many emergency and critical services are now using these automated answering systems, it is becoming a really important issue. We need to make them as easy as possible to get to an operator any phone.

Anecdotal evidence: Places that I have not managed to reach a human operator after five attempts include the police and my doctors office.Typically it takes me three of four attempts to reach the right extension at my health service!

Please pass this email on to anyone who might care. This is no longer just annoying but about equal access and being able to participate etc....

Please pass this on to anyone you think may care...

All the best
Lisa
