drag'n'drop is grab'n'drop for non-visual users

aloha!

a few weeks ago at one of our last meetings of 2008, we had a discussion
about non-visual dragging and dropping, and it occurred to me afterwards
that the model we should be working on for keyboard control of
drag'n'drop is actually, grab'n'drop, which leaves us with 2 mnemonically
sensible commands for a keyboard only implementation of drag'n'drop

proposed keystrokes for action:

"grab" = Modifier/ Control / Command / Whatever plus g
"drop" = Modifier/ Control / Command/ Whatever plus d

these are the only sensible mnemonics for drag'n'drop in a non-visual
experience: items are selected, grabbed, then focus is moved to where
they need to be stroke on the author-designated target, or wherever
the user wants them to be dropped

gregory.
