Jon,
IMHO, landmark roles should work regardless of whether the user is in
application mode or not, however, at the moment JAWS, the only AT that
support landmark roles, does not provide the user with a way to navigate
between landmarks outside of the virtual buffer.

Questions:
1. I didn't know what to put for a "aria-labelledby" on the
"contentinfo" role.  Is that OK?

2. Does this need a role of application?
