In my opinion it is a intolerable situation that most html validity
checkers 
currently treat aria markup as alien life forms. 

But I understand that that their developers wait for ARIA Candidate
Recommendation Status 
before they touch any finger to code.

I admit i don't have a  good grasp of the mechanics. So my questions
were probably not posed correctly, but your response helps define what
may be needed reach a the goal.

anybody have any ideas on how we move this forward? Is it a desirable
goal?
