In actual fact, the author *has* decided, and chose to use specific images
to convey some information to the end user.  Why use a collage of 2 photos
and the mission patch for an article about the Atlantis Mission?  Could not
they have simply provided a photograph of the shuttle itself?  The choice of
using 3 images in a collage attaches relevancy to all three images.
