Hi Laura,

Thanks for that. After a first pass, I think I would agree with much of
Ians line of thinking.
I like the idea of the <video> and <audio> elements natively containing
all of the needed accessibility content (or more correctly multi modal
content) without the need to it to be bolted on via using other attributes.

Authoring environments that made use of this model and easily supported
an author who wished to create captions, or embed sign language and/or
other content along with a broad UA support and simple authoring
semantics would be great.
