Image Report feature in Validator.nu

I don't usually announce features on mailing lists, but this one has  
relevance to the ongoing discussion:

Validator.nu now has a feature called Image Report. It helps a sighted  
human user make non-computable assessments about alt--hopefully in a  
way that doesn't induce bogus values to the extent making the presence  
of alt a syntax requirement would.
