HEART of the BEHOLDER Movie Update - Oct 2005 ======================================================= 1. Film Festival Awards 2. Discounts 3. Poster 4. Affiliate Commission Program ======================================================= Film Festival Awards So far we have won three straight BEST FEATURE FILM awards and over the next two weeks we will be in competition in three other festivals. We screened last Friday, Sept. 30, in the Westwood International Film Festival and the report we got back was that the audience gave us very high marks on their ballots. This festival runs for two weeks so we won't know if we won anything until then, which is also the same weekend that awards are to be given out for the other two festivals we will screen in on Oct. 15. We screen at the Philips Auditorium on the campus of Tulsa Community College at 2 PM on Oct. 15. http://www.script2screenfilmfestival.com/ We screen at THE MUSIC HALL in Portsmouth, New Hampshire at 5 PM on Oct. 15. http://www.nhfx.com/2005/index.php I will stay in Los Angeles for the ending of the Westwood Festival and our Marketing Director - Susan Johnston, will rep us at the Tulsa screening. The Writer/Director, Ken Tipton, will attend the New Hampshire screening with two of our supporting actors. Conrad Bachmann played the Father of the female lead and Carrie Armstrong play the crazy religious lady who thought the movie SPLASH promoted sex with animals because Tom Hanks makes love to a mermaid - a fish. If you happened to live or will be in these areas, PLEASE stop by and say "Hi". We have also been notified that we will screen at the First Glance Film Festival in December at the Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. More info later. http://www.firstglancefilms.com/losangeles/ ======================================================= DISCOUNTS We have now severed our relationship with CustomFlix.com because they were bought out by Amazon.com and will not carry inventory of which we have over 7,000 DVDs. They will only burn a DVD whenever one is ordered. Our new store front is up and running on the Beholder.com website. The old discount codes that were used on CustomFlix are no longer any good. A new discount code is being programmed for the Council for Secular Humanism and there were 70 DVDs bought last month using the CSH code. A check for $350 has already been mailed to DJ Grothe to be cashed by the Council for Secular Humanism. As soon as their code is available, I'll let you know. For our Fan Club members, we have instituted a discount Promo code that will cut 25% off of your order which is $4.99 off of every DVD. We chose to go with the flat 25% code because we will be offering other items such as posters and it was better to give 25% off of everything instead of just a discount on DVD sales. The new 25% off Promo code is - 169791 When you click on the Buy a DVD button on our website, it will take you to a sales page that will ask you for the promo code. Rob had a little edge since he does this for a living and you have seen his work on Independence Day and many other big time movies. The new poster is now on our home page. We actually have two posters that look the same but the color of the title is different. One has red letters and one has white letters. ======================================================= AFFILIATE COMMISSION PROGRAM One of the benefits of our new store front software is that it will allow us to use a simple sign up procedure for organizations, companies, or individuals to become Affiliates of ours. By posting pre-made banners, buttons, or email links that contains their unique affiliate code, they will earn $5 for every DVD sold under their code. Each time a sale is made with their code, they will be sent an email follow up. They will also be able to login on to our system and track their commissions. So by simply putting a banner on your website or emailing out a link, you will help us grow and earn money also.
