WAI policies in South Africa

Hi,

I'm a director of a South African company called ThoughtCorp - we're a
medium sized web design and development agency, with a strong focus on
usability and access. I am very interested in the whole issue of
compliance to standards and best practices, and would like to know
whether any information is available particular to South Africa. I
noticed that you don't have South Africa listed in your companies -
would you have any further information on what legislation applies to
us. I will follow up with our local government, but I thought perhaps
you have further information.

Are there any other standards or organizations that define best practice
guidelines such as yours?
