New Requirements that apply to video (and audio) in User Agents:

For embedded media objects native to the UA (e.g., HTML5 <video> and <audio>), 
the following must be programmatically available to assistive technology, AND 
available (?? Visible ??)  within the user interface of the UA (for users who do 
not utilize AT):

1. Media controls

Play, Pause, Stop, Skip Forward/Back if media markers are 
present, fast forward/rewind, goto start (??end??), playback presentation rate 
adjustment (slower/faster/normal ?? rate change may be presets or incremental ?? 
(related to 3.3.8). 

Visual media (e.g., video, animation, slideshows) that allow scaling (changes 
in physical size of the visual image) must include controls to adjust and reset
sizing.

Visual media (e.g., video, animation, slideshows) should support controls to 
adjust brightness and contrast, and to reset both to the media default.

All visible and active media controls must be able to 
receive focus via programmatic or keyboard access (see 4.1, 4.1.7).

Textual alternative content (e.g., captions) must support the text configuration 
controls in 3.7.


2. Media Properties

Duration, current position, media state (loading, buffering, 
playing, stopped, error/timeout),  media resolutions supported and the current 
size (e.g., small, large, full screen), media metadata intended for presentation 
to the user must be programmatically available to AT and visible in the UA user 
interface. These properties may include: copyright, license, title, artist, ?? 
ID3 tag info???, language), ??availability of ?? included or available 
captions/subtitles/descriptive audio tracks/transcript/video/lyrics/transcript, 
embedded (?? Synchronized ??) alternate/parallel tracks.

3. Alternative Content Stack

Availability and selection of any alternative media (e.g., captions, sign 
language, audio descriptions) referenced or contained within the media must be 
selectable programmatically AND visible within the user interface of the UA (for 
users who do not utilize AT).  Alternative media such as textual captions must 
be programmatically available to assistive technology. Language of the 
alternative media must be programmatically available.



4. Player behavior

When the player is paused (either programmatically or by user 
action), current state of the player and the content of any paused alternative 
media presentation (captions) shall be available programmatically.  Users will 
have the option, within the UA, to over-ride automatic start of playback for all
