JR: Well in general "doing more" are things tangential to the 
checkpoint, but here's an "example technique" for "Toggle audio, video, 
animated images" that seems to go beyond the strict interpretation of 
the checkpoint: "As a placeholder for an animated image, render a 
motionless image built from the first frame of the animated image."

JR: Well, positioning CSS shapes on the background could be used to 
similar effect.

JR: Yeah - I'm just thinking that if someone has requested no audio for 
example, then when playing a video with built in audio, the user agent 
might mute the sound.
