PDF Techniques Accessibility Summit

Apologies for cross-posting...

In December 2018 the PDF Association will host a two-day in-person event to assemble, review and endorse examples of tagged PDF files.

The objective is to establish a common understanding of what is considered “semantically appropriate tags in a logical reading order”, to quote PDF/UA.

In short, we’re looking to review and endorse examples of files that subject-matter-experts agree are well-tagged for accessibility.

The results of the summit will be used by the PDF/UA Technical Working Group (TWG) of the PDF Association as the basis of a fully-revised set of PDF Techniques for WCAG 2.1.

The PDF Techniques Accessibility Summit will be held December 10-11 in Edinburgh, Scotland, directly following the “PDF Week” ISO meetings at the same location.
