The larger text option in iOS will translate to web content if the content is styled with the Apple system fonts. Another issue is that there is no way to override pinch zoom when blocked on mobile safari unless you apple a bookmarklet each time you visit a page. Pimch zoom also requires horizontal scrolling - so page options to increase text size might be helpful in mobile where there are likely no break points less than 320.
