Come to Austin. Learn about Accessibility. Have Fun!

Hello all!

The John Slatin AccessU
<http://www.knowbility.org/v/john-slatin-accessu/>web accessibility
institute is returning to Austin next month - May 15-17,
2012. Held at St. Edward's University in the heart of South Austin, it
includes two days of hands-on instruction by leading accessibility experts
from around the world, plus a full day of in-depth post-conference
sessions. Kel Smith (www.kelsmith.com), a longtime speaker, trainer and
practitioner for digital accessibility and author of the upcoming book
"Digital Outcasts" will present the keynote on the first day.

Classes fall into four tracks designed to fit your goals (Policy &
Administration; Design & Usability; Web Development; and Content), just a
few of which include "The Return of Slick" (accessibility *doesn't* have to
mean sacrificing style), "Rich Internet Applications: The Good, the Bad,
and the Ugly" (covering HTML5, AJAX, and Flash), a whole bunch of
musically-themed presentations: "Singing the Praises of WAI-ARIA,"
"Accessibility the Musical" "E-Harmony in E-Learning: Making Your
E-Learning Sing with JAWS," and "The Many Voices of Audio Description."

Plus - hang out, network, and have fun at our three "extracurricular"
events, including an "Accessible Night Out" at Pete's Dueling Piano Bar on
Austin's historic 6th street, where you'll be delighted with a
multi-ability performance by Pete's own improvisational pianists,
accompanied by ASL interpreters and an audio description!
