WCAG 1.0 - Checkpoints 11.2 and 3.7

Hi all,

I have a question in order to put on an existing website the "Level Double-A
Conformance" logo.

To be in compliance with the checkpoints 11.2 and 3.7 of the WCAG 1.0, does
it mean that pages must successfully pass the W3C Markup Validation Service
(http://validator.w3.org/) according to the used DOCTYPE ?
