Not really looked at this before, but stumbled across this just now while doing a search for RDF+EXIF
http://www.w3.org/2003/12/exif/ and (from a very superficial skim over it) looks quite interesting.

Presumably this could also be mixed in with XHTML directly (when serving with the proper MIME type, of course) and then transformed via XSLT into an adjacent block for non-XML browsers

Just thoughts...
