But the contract with bank could well override that, and the use of an
unapproved browser could well switch the fault from the bank to the
customer.

But the bank may well not allow accesses with the User Agent strings of
early broken implemnetations (note that Lynx was broken by design, in
that the feature was not implemented, rather than incorrectly implemented).
