I have just found this really interesting article that throws up some other issues to do with electronic contracts. Not technically to do with Helle's question, but raises some points for discussions...

http://www.icdri.org/questions_about_electronic_signa.htm

I know that this will probably cause more confusion than it will answer the original question, and for that I apologise. I will keep on researching this for all concerned to see if there is any information that sets these issues out clearly and provides answers for all the questions that this debate could throw out.

Cheers
Sime

I need information and if possible suggestions about digital signatures and
accessibility. Especially if any of you have done any work in this area and
succeeded.
Any suggestions and comments are very welcome.

Kind regards
