Dear AG,

I have this idea. What do y'all think of the possibility of adding a new piece to WCAG 2.1 Understanding docs...called...."Persona Quotes".

Example for SC Orientation (AA)

  *   Persona(s):

     *   Disability Type:  Motor

        * Quote: "Don't force me to rotate my mobile device. My mobile device is attached to my wheelchair in portrait mode. I cannot rotate my mobile device by myself."
Example for SC Text Reflow (AA)

  *   Persona(s)

     *   Disability Type:  Low Vision

        * Parameter: Reading horizontal text: (example: English)

           * Quote: "Horizontal scrolling is evil! I'm trying to read a paragraph of English text and I have to scroll right on every line and then scroll left for the next line. The cognitive overhead for reading this way prevents me from being able to focus fully on the content."
           *   Research: http://nosetothepage.org/Fitz/2dScroll.html

        * Parameter: 'Reading vertical text (example: Japanese)

           * Quote: "Vertical scrolling is evil! I'm trying to read a paragraph of text and I have to scroll down on every line and then scroll up to get to the next line. The cognitive overhead for reading this way prevents me from being able to focus on the content."
I think persona quotes could help in a number of ways:

  * Make it easier for you to understand the new SC.
  * Help you see the reason the new SC exists.
  * Create desire to prevent barriers that hurt real people.
What do y'all think?
G
