I am not a fan of this SC generally (because the tech doesn’t seem mature)

+1 to JF’s numbering proposal/thoughts, since we are likely to approve.

Subject: CFC - Adding identifiers to Common Purpose lists
Importance: High

Call For Consensus — ends Thursday January 4nd at 7:00PM Boston time.

The Working Group has discussed a change to the list of common purposes referenced in the Identify Common Purpose SC. The specific change is to add an identifier to the lists so the individual items can be easily referenced.

The changes can be previewed at http://rawgit.com/w3c/wcag21/common_Purpose_Identifiers/guidelines/index.html#commonpurposes<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__rawgit.com_w3c_wcag21_common-5FPurpose-5FIdentifiers_guidelines_index.html-23commonpurposes&d=DwMGaQ&c=4ZIZThykDLcoWk-GVjSLmy8-1Cr1I4FWIvbLFebwKgY&r=TNPSf5_s1C7GQN2fKXOGh6t05xN18F4fA5Kt3Nyy0IU&m=SIi7McSqReC_UJtczZNniGqTV1Kx2cVtWjTOCx93Xac&s=breu30AfXCQK9XOFBIvtlQ_FQqq6f-pis_uTR2FPm6g&e=> (section 7.1 and 7.2) as implemented in Pull request #652 (https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/pull/652).

If you have concerns about this proposed consensus position that have not been discussed already and feel that those concerns result in you “not being able to live with” this decision, please let the group know before the CfC deadline.
