New member introduction

Hello WCAG WG,

I wanted to take a few sentences to introduce myself as a new member of the working group. I have been an engineer for about 14 years, spending most of my professional career at Boeing in the area of helicopter computational aerodynamics. My other strong passions for accessibility and the web/software, however, stem from an interest in programming and computing in general, and from the fact that I have a degenerative disorder that has resulted in adapting to vision loss in many ways. Combining those latter two passions means that I have a fairly decent knowledge of web and software accessibility, and enjoy diagnosing issues, finding solutions, and being an activist for change. Within Boeing, I am doing my best to educate on issues of inaccessibility, and co-lead a new community of practice on the subject.

I had some kinks to work out so I joined the last 2 meetings a little late, but found the discussions quite interesting and clearly many of you are passionate about accessibility as well. I am looking forward to getting more involved. Thanks for your attention, and talk to you soon.
