RE: Landmark technique ready for survey

Hi Sailesh

I put up a test. Yes, it does double speak in VoiceOver and JAWS... NVDA
doesn't soeak the label for some reason in IE or FF, latest versions.

Looking at how it is reported to the accessibility API there is redundancy
also... so yes let's remove it...

I have some concern that there may be some confusion using some AT without
the word "navigation" in the label, but we can't worry too much about bad
support ... it sounds ok in JAWS and Safari. I will propose to remove the
"navigation" word from the label.

Thanks,
David MacDonald

David,
1. In example with aria-label, the aria-label should be set to only "main"
or "secondary" because AT identifies the role as navigation. Else it reads
to double speak.
2. "identical roles should be disambiguated"
Change to " identical roles should be distinctly identified" (or uniquely or
clearly)
Reason: Perhaps to make it more understandable

Thanks

Sailesh
