Ben or can anyone explain the purpose of this? that is a good reason 
for using this type of thing.

there is a table containing photos of a couple of very handsome men, 
though many of the links are broken.
Unfortunately unless you edit the page you're missing out!

The page validates, yet seems to break the spirit of accessibility.
