Important - 06 January EOWG Meeting

Greetings EOWG,

We hope you all had a relaxing and refreshing break over the holiday
season. We are excited about the direction that this working group is
heading as we move into the new year. We are thankful for your time and
effort and will continue to refine our process to meet the needs of our
participants.

On with the important news...

** 06 January Meeting Cancelled* - Keeping in sync with our promise to keep
our meetings productive and handle updates more efficiently, we will be
cancelling the meeting for tomorrow and sending updates via this email.
Many things are in the works, but editors and collaborators are needing
this week and next to prepare questions and discussions for next weeks
teleconference call.

** Tutorials Update* - Next week, in the weekly survey, we will review (and
hopefully approve for publication) the pages in the *Carousels* tutorial.
Eric plans to make changes and bring the *Page Structure* tutorial to the
group the following week. He’ll send a separate email with instructions on
Friday.

** Easy Checks Update* -

Easy Checks was published in December.

   - Tweet: https://twitter.com/w3c_wai/status/809814678197112832
   - We have recieved a few public comments:
   https://github.com/w3c/EasyChecks/issues
   - Shawn will go through those, propose resolutions, and ask for EOWG
review and approval. Anyone is welcome to comment on those at anytime.

** Policies Update* - Mary Jo has continued her work with the new Policies
table prototype and will bring to EO next week a discussion of its function
and the form needed to populate the table.

** EOWG Process Survey* - Thank you all for your feedback on the survey.
All comments were anonymously compiled and we have been combing through the
detailed feedback. We will be immediately incorporating some suggestions
raised by participants in the coming weeks. We are also looking in more
detail at other suggestions to determine the most efficient and effective
way to implement. For some of those, we may need more input from the group
as a whole. We just want to assure you that your comments and
recommendations for our group's processes are very insightful, welcomed,
and will be acted upon whenever possible. Please feel free to continue to
send us your ideas directly as well.

Looking forward to a great year of collaboration and EO development work
that will benefit so many people around the world!

Sincerely,
Brent & Sharron
