Hello

I recently completed the Professional Certificate in Web Accessibility Compliance through the University of South Australia and Media Access Australia.

In the last course module, we reviewed the WCAG-EM evaluation process and completed a group assignment that included an audit and evaluation report of 2 sites. Our group (and through discussion forums, many groups appeared to use the tool) found the WCAG-EM evaluation tool extremely helpful for documenting the audit of the sites.

Using a tool that is specific to the WCAG-EM five step evaluation process improved our learning and understanding of the subject matter and was instrumental in how we considered reporting the evaluation findings to a client or our organisation. The ability to load a JSON file and work offline is a great feature of the tool.

The only thing that stood out for me that seemed to be missing was a recommendation field for each success criterion. The tool is very helpful for producing an evaluation report that would be more suited to a technical audience and the report itself could sit alongside an easy reading version for a general audience, so being able to include recommendations would be beneficial.

Thank you for your great work on this very useful tool.

Cheers

Kalli

Hi Kalli,

I'm glad to hear that the tool was helpful for your training.

Thank you for your feedback. Currently the "observations" field is
provided for several purposes, such as repair suggestions. I've also
added your idea as a feature request for further consideration:
