I recently spoke at RefreshDC[1], a Washington DC new media user group. It went really well. This is a group of ambitious young developers who want to try anything new and exciting under the sun. They get that they have to make their web sites accessible and what they need to do. They just wanna know more about how they are supposed to do it. In particular, they'd like to learn more when it comes to technologies like DHTML and AJAX and how to make those accessible.

These are the resources I have on AJAX and Accessibility.

Wednesday I spoke at the DC Public Library on a panel on Web Accessibility (thanks to Shawn :-). One lady was a disability advocate. She said something like, "i'm not tech savy but I need to learn about how to make my web site accessible. I know about what I'm supposed to do. I need to learn about how I'm supposed to do it."

I guess both of these experiences play to the need for the "WCAG Explained/WCAG ABCs" document.

Cheers,
Justin Thorp
