I think this from google could be useful
RDF Site Summary: An XML document that summarizes the contents of a RDF
document. RSS is usually used to allow a website or computer program to
efficiently gather information from a site to display. An example is a
homepage pulling information from a news site to display a quick summary of
the current news.
