2 recent public activities:

1. Techshare conference 20-21 November 2003 (Birmingham UK)

It was aimed at professionals who work in the field of sight loss, or have
an interest in technology. It had a significant number of workshops and
presentations concerning web accessibility.

Bunnyfoot Universality gave a presentation entitled:
of the tick box approach to web accessibility
Which presented the case for accessibility and urged the audience to think
beyond mere technical compliance - user testing with an appropriate range
of people (including people with disabilities) is a must.

Other presentations in the track included:
* accessible flash
* accessible macromedia
* accessibility at the bbc

see the following link for more

2. Compliance, accessibility and the law 16th December (Newcastle UK)

The stick of legislation is used to raise awareness about accessibility to
business leaders in this free seminar/workshop.
A team of legal, technical and educational experts cover the issues from
different perspectives and provide a platform for discussion and learning.
