As it says on the AUWG page:

An IRC text chat (server: irc.w3.org, port: 6665, channel: #wai) is
sometimes used by some members during the teleconferences.

The key word is "sometimes". :)

Yes... but the problem is that zakim tell me that the wai-au conference
was hold in another irc channel :)))
