On 9 October 1996, the ERB will vote to decide the following question. A non-binding preliminary vote indicates the ERB is now leaning to Yes. A.3 XML will have no OMITTAG, DATATAG, SHORTREF, LINK, CONCUR, RANK, or SUBDOC features (7.3.1, 7.3.1.1, 7.3.1.2, 7.3.2, 7.4, 7.5, 7.6, 7.7, 7.8, 9.4.6, 11.2, 11.5, 11.6, 13.5).
