The first draft of a paper titled "SGML, Java, and the future of the
Web" is now available at

The same file in PostScript format is available at

   ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/sun-info/standards/xml/why/xmlapps.ps

Zipped versions of both files are also available.  Comments are
welcome.
