I must be dumb.  I thought the owl notion was more restrictive, i.e.

owl:subClassOf is a subset of rdfs:subClassOf but not the other way
round.

You are saying owl:subClassOf can have a member <c1, c2> that is not a
member of rdfs:subClassOf?
