The existing text (section 6.1) seems to offer satisfactory explanation for the
existence of lock-null resources, and additional justification regarding shared
editing sessions was provided in the 12/21 telecon. Rather than add additional
justification to 2518-bis, we are going to let this issue lie and resolve it as
a 'WONTFIX'. Further, the issue of /shared read locks/ is beyond the scope of
the current WG charter to finish 2518-bis...
