W3C Public Newsletter, 2007-04-02

Dear W3C Public Newsletter Subscriber,

We invite you to read the 2007-04-02 version of the
W3C Public Newsletter online:
  http://www.w3.org/News/Public/pnews-20070402

For your convenience, we have attached a simplified
plain text version.

At any time you may consult the latest version of the
W3C Public Newsletter:
  http://www.w3.org/News/Public/

This is the first edition of a revised set of Member and Public
Newsletters, designed to be easier to scan, more useful, and more
appealing. This Public Newsletter which will include information about
recent W3C home page news, upcoming Talks about W3C work, upcoming W3C
Workshops, and organizations that recently became W3C Members.

The Public Newsletter will replace our current (plain text) "W3C
Weekly News". It will be available on the Web as HTML. We will also
attach plain text versions to the announcements, as we have done in
the past. We intend for the HTML versions to render nicely on
printers and handheld devices.

I would like to thank Susan Lesch, Karl Dubost, Richard Ishida, and
the Communications Team for their participation in redesigning and
improving the Public and Member Newsletters.

Please send feedback to w3t-comm@w3.org.

Thank you,

Ian Jacobs, Head of W3C Communications
