Subject: SIP URL draft
I have just submitted a new Internet draft to the editor. You can find
it at
http://www.cs.columbia.edu/~hgs/sip/draft-ietf-mmusic-sip-url-00.ps
and
http://www.cs.columbia.edu/~hgs/sip/draft-ietf-mmusic-sip-url-00.txt
Comments are solicited. Please cc: me as I'm not on the URI list.
Note: The draft does not deal with the encoding of numerical unicast
IPv6 addresses (and the difficulty of distinguishing these
colon-separated numbers from port numbers). I'd assume we are not the
first to bump into this.
This is presumbably the first draft that specifies multicast addresses
and TTLs as part of the URL, so I want to make sure that the delimiter
(comma) and format (following the host) is acceptable to the "URL
community".
Thanks.
