missing archives, broken links, incorrect permissions...

Hi --

   <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-lod/>

points to an "archive of activity on this list when SIMILE 
hosted it, prior to Spring 2008" which is supposed to be at --

   <http://simile.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/linking-open-data>

That now delivers a 404.

Further, going to the main SIMILE page --

   <http://simile.mit.edu/mail.html>

-- the "old archive" link now points to the same place as the
"new messages" (i.e., current) list --

   <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-lod/>

The loss appears to have happened between 2009 and 2011, 
judging by the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine (which
doesn't actually include the "old archive") --

   <http://web.archive.org/web/20090715000000*/http://simile.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/linking-open-data>

The last snapshot that wasn't a 404 was March 28, 2009 --

   <http://web.archive.org/web/20090328130957/http://simile.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/linking-open-data>

-- but this only leads to a dead end, a page full of links
to other pages that weren't themselves scraped --

   <http://web.archive.org/web/20090423040903/http://simile.mit.edu/mail/SummarizeList?listId=14>

Can you please help me track down the elder archives?


Relatedly, it seems that file permissions need fixing on
the current list archives, as the web-based browser requires
no login --

-- but the directory of mbox-format archives prompts for W3C
credentials --
