Mail not sent. Any reason why?

I subscribed to the mailing list (semantic-web@w3.org) about two weeks ago.
I receive emails regularly but none of my emails have been sent to the
public mailing list.
Is there a particular reason why?

I was only attempting to send out a CFP for a workshop.
