Difficulty in determining appropriate mailing list for post

I do not wish to litter your dialogues with unwelcome posts. However, I have
repeatedly scanned the topics, and do not find one matching my area of
interest. Therefore, my comment regarding the site: it would be helpful to
have instructions for potential mailing list joiners who, like me, cannot
find an appropriate posting arena.
