Open Postdoc position at Orange Labs on "Reasoning on IoT (Internet of Things) Knowledge Graphs"

The objective of the postdoc work is to apply/adapt state of the art reasoning technologies or develop new techniques, to exploit the information contained in the knowledge graphs. These techniques aim to automatically generate new information through reasoning mechanisms. This new information can be re-injected into the knowledge graphs themselves or used to solve domain specific problems that can not be handled using current APIs.

The successful candidate:

-           will have the opportunity to address an innovative subject on two major themes: Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things

-          will have access to corporate platforms incorporating advanced features, in step with the state of the art in the field and will be in close relationship with their designers

-          will also benefit from the advantages of research activities in a large industrial group, especially in terms of multidisciplinary teams, privileged access to the ecosystem (academic and industrial partners), as well as a wide and varied range of research fields in Information and Communication Science and Technology (ICST),

We are seeking candidates who have:
- A solid experience in at least two of the following areas: The Semantic Web, Formal Logic, Machine Learning, Graph Theory.
- An excellent record of scientific publications
- The ability to work autonomously, while still being able to work in a team
- An interest to implement theoretical models and to validate them experimentally
- Good command of oral and written communication in English and preferably in French

Employment:
The position is initially available for one year. The annual salary is at least EUR 37000 (taxes inclusive), to be negotiated based on candidate experience with a package of corporate profit share program (approx. one month salary) and 44 paid vacation days.
