Yes, but my point was that you should not read that as an advice about HTTP versus HTTPS.

However, these documents mean to state that you should choose Web URLs
as opposed to non-Web URIs such as URNs.
It was not meant to state a preference of HTTP over HTTPS,
as evidenced by the absence of https:// in those documents.

Therefore, there is no contradiction with the reasoning to prefer https://
as provided in this mail thread; so go with HTTPS.
