[CFP] Workshop on Web Observatories, Social Machines and Decentralisation

I'd like to share a call for a workshop at this years' World Wide Web
conference that may be of interest. The deadline is January 22nd so
apologies for the short notice, but perhaps if you're looking for
somewhere to share a work-in-progress, position article or small project
report along the workshop themes, this could be a good opportunity.

Workshop on Web Observatories, Social Machines and Decentralisation:

http://www.sociam.org/wow2017/

Topics include: analysing and understanding social media users and data;
data sharing, re-use of data and applications; study of social machines;
decentralisation of Web infrastructure and services; emerging research
challenges when these are combined with the Internet of Things (IoT);
the challenges of interoperability and distributed analytics across the
growing number of Web services, Web Observatories, and most recently,
IoT devices. We will also discuss the pressing issues around the
decentralisation of Web infrastructure and social machines, with a
specific focus on the decentralisation of scholarly communications.

The workshop accepts HTML based contributions, as well as old-fashioned PDF.
