Announcement: Online Ontology Set Picker (OOSP) Released

Dear colleagues,
we are pleased to announce the first official release of Online Ontology
Set Picker (OOSP) tool [1]. OOSP allows to select, from major
repositories, ontologies applying different search based techniques.
Main purpose of OOSP is allowing ontological tool designers to rapidly
build custom benchmarks on which they could test different features. It
could also serve for usage studies of different ontology language
constructs and for pattern spotting.

Involved snapshots from various repositories:

* BioPortal 2015

* LOV 2015, 2016

* NanJing reposirory 2016

* OntoFarm

In all, there are available over two thousand ontologies accesible via
several ontology search based techniques:

* ontology search based on given exact intervals of metrics (screencast
available)

* similarity-based ontology search based on sample ontology (screencast
available)

* ontology search based on lexical tokens

* ontology search based on lexical tokens, restricted on „focus“ classes
(screencast available)

More details about OOSP may be found in three workshop or poster papers
and three screencasts referred from the OOSP web-page [1].

Regards,
Ondřej Zamazal
