Research Assistant in Mobile Computing

***Apologies for cross posting ***
Dear all,
The University of Sheffield, OAK Group, is looking for a research assistant in Mobile Computing. We are developing technology for an initiative
with the vision to make Sheffield the most physically active city in the UK by 2020. We are building a mobile application that will enable participants to track their progress towards a healthy lifestyle using a combination of phone sensors and external sensors. In the medium term we plan to create a company to support this activity as a spin out of the University.
The Research Assistant will further develop the Android version of the app and will collaborate to the development of the associated Web Portal for progress monitoring. We plan to release the technology to dozens of thousands of people by July 2016. The role will require the post holder to undertake mobile development (Android) and data collection; analysis will also be performed.

The position is fixed for six months initially but funds are being already planned for development beyond the six months including the creation of the spin out company so it is very likely that an opportunity will arise for further extension beyond the six months.
