[SemanticWeb] CfP - 2nd International Workshop on Ad Targeting at Scale @ WSDM 2016

TargetAd Call for Papers

TargetAd: 2nd International Workshop on Ad Targeting at Scale
in conjunction with
The 9th ACM International Conference on Web Search and Data Mining (WSDM
2016)
San Francisco, February 22nd - February 25th, 2016
https://sites.google.com/site/targetad2016/

Recent advent of big data applications and platforms has led to a
renaissance in many areas of machine learning and data mining.
Computational advertising, a burgeoning field that accumulated revenue of
over 20 billion dollars in the first half of 2014 in the US alone, has
particularly benefited, and the industry has observed a steady two-digit
growth in the past few years. However, in order to maintain and improve
upon this positive trend, researchers in academia and industry alike are
faced with numerous algorithmic, theoretical, and practical challenges that
need immediate attention.

This workshop builds upon successful event organized at WWW 2015
<http://targetad-workshop.net/>, and aims to act as a discussion forum for
researchers from all areas of machine learning and data mining, interested
in solving the burning problems from the Ad Targeting domain.

The topics of this workshop include, but are not limited to, the following
areas:
· Machine learning-based Ad Targeting
· Ad Targeting in Social Networks
· Ad Targeting and Big Data
· Ad Targeting on Mobile Devices
· Big Data Platforms
· Recommender systems
· Pay-per-install targeting strategies
· In-game and in-app advertising
· Deep Learning for Ad Targeting
· Machine Learning in Sponsored Search
· Contextual advertising
· Large-scale user modeling for Ad Targeting
· Data-driven methods for interest targeting
· Privacy-preserving targeting
· Behavioral targeting
· Personalization
· Post-conversion Feature Attribution
· Learning to rank for interest targeting
· Click-conversion modeling
· Machine Learning for bidding strategies
· Content categorization for ad targeting
· Experience with deployed systems
