there are currently three opportunities to express that an n-ary 
relation and a "shortcut" relation belongs semantically together:

1. OWL property chain axioms [1]
2. SPARQL construct [2]
3. The Property Reification Vocabulary [3]

... depending on which level and use case you would like to express this 
knowledge.
