Possible pattern for the Semantic Web?

Just thinking out loud about a pattern that occurred to me...

1. Put your graph data (the knowledge base) ALL in META tags in the
HEAD of an HTML page

2. Use JavaScript to entirely parse the data, and render the whole
content of the page

Thoughts?  Has this approach been tried before?
