Semantic Web Meetup in Amsterdam, February 12th

Dutch Semantic Web Meetup
February 12, 2009 (13h00 - 17h00)
Topic: Linking Open Dutch Data

Given the announcement [1] and subsequent discussion[2] of the UK
government's exposure of thousands of data sets as Linked Data[3], we
thought it would be a great time for our community to discuss how we can
encourage and foster the exposure of Dutch data sets (government, public,
educational). Therefore, the topic for the next Semantic Web Meetup is
Linking Open Dutch Data.

The schedule for the meetup is as follows:

Schedule :
13h00-14h00 Keynote (TBA)
14h00-14h30 Lightning talks (one slide and 2 minutes per talk)
14h30-16h00 Breakouts - split in hands-on/discussion groups.
16h00-16h15 Presentations on the results of the breakout groups
16h15-17h00 Group wide discussion
17h00-.......... Drinks

We are also looking for presenters for lightening talks. If you'd like to
give a lightening talk about what you do, send us a title and brief
description. We'll select a nice set and let you know.

For the breakouts, we will have two groups. One group will focus on
discussing how what we can do to encourage and promote the exposure of
Dutch Data as Linked Data. The second group will focus on working together
to quickly expose some data sets as Linked Data.

Please register by sending an email to cgueret@few.vu.nl with your
firstname/lastname and affiliation. The page for the meetup is at:
http://esw.w3.org/topic/DutchSemanticWebMeetups

This should be an exciting community event and we encourage all to attend.
Please register as soon as possible.

Thanks and we hope to see you February 12th.
